Michelle McIlveen MLA, Chair of the Committee for Culture, Arts and Leisure provided an overview of the findings of a recent Committee Inquiry into maximising the potential of the creative industries and Stephen McGowan from the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure delivered a briefing on the positive impact the creative industries are having on Northern Ireland.

NIABT Briefing on Fairtrade and Corporate Social Responsibility

Dr Christopher Stange, Chairman of Fairtrade Belfast, and Jacqueline Gibson, Sustainability Coordinator at Graham Construction, led a discussion on the importance of Fairtrade to the local business community.

Judith Cochrane MLA visits MCE PR

 

MCE Public Relations arranged a full day of events for the fellowship visit by Judith Cochrane MLA. During her day with the company, Judith met with Chris Brown and the rest of the team and received a brief overview of MCE PR. Following this, Judith had the opportunity to part take in a round table discussion with representatives from the Northern Ireland Leukaemia Research Fund and received a presentation from the Head of Computer Science from the University of Ulster.

Lucinda Creighton TD Briefs the NIABT

The Committee of the Office of the First Minister and deputy First Minster in partnership with the NIABT invited the Minister of State for European Affairs, Lucinda Creighton TD to deliver a mid-term review of the Irish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

Educational visit to Belfast Distillery

An NIABT delegation visited the Crumlin Road Gaol to receive a presentation and tour of their new premises from Peter Lavery and Michael Morris of Belfast Distillery.
