On 4th November 2014 Danny Kinahan MLA visited officials from Danske Bank on an NIABT fellowship to find out more about the banking sector.
During his visit, Danny met with Kevin Kingston, Deputy CEO, who provided an excellent overview of Danske Bank in Northern Ireland.
Danny then had the chance to meet with Richard Caldwell, Head of Finance Centre, to discuss business banking and the challenges facing this area of banking in both the short, medium and long term.
Accompanying Danny Kinahan MLA during his visit was Simon Little, Corporate Affairs Manager.

Following the NIABT AGM on Mon 16 June 2014, Alastair Hamilton, CEO of Invest NI delivered an Invest NI performance update. New Board Members confirmed as Claire Sugden MLA, Chris Brown, MCE PR and Stephen Kelly, manufacturing NI.
Phil Flanagan MLA and NIABT Chair spent the afternoon with officials from Danske Bank to find out more about the banking sector.
During his visit, Phil met with Gerry Mallon, CEO who provided an excellent overview of Danske Bank in NI. Following on, Phil then met with Charlie Carlin, Customer Service Manager who gave Phil a tour of the inbound and outbound customer service areas.
Ivan McMinn, Head of Corporate Banking, also explained the bank’s business banking area to Phil.
Simon Little, Corporate Affairs Manager then had the opportunity to brief Phil on recent topical developments in personal banking.
Members of the NIABT took part in a two day programme where they met with a series of Ministers, MSPs and business representatives.
